About RRB NTPC 2019 Exam:

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) founded on 27th April 1998, is fully owned and controlled by Ministry of Railways, Government of India. RRB conducts various recruitment programs for 21 regional Railway Recruitment Boards at different regions in India, every year. This year RRB is organizing RRB Railway Group D NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Category) exam for filling around 20,000 vacancies under the posts of

Eligibility Criteria for RRB NTPC 2019 Exam:

Age Limit

Minimum Age limit is 18 years; Maximum Age limit is 32 years (For General Category - Unreserved (UR) Candidates). There is age relaxation for candidates of reserved categories and Physically Handicapped as mentioned below -

OBC - 3 years (i.e, Maximum Age limit is 35 years)
SC/ST - 5 years (i.e, Maximum Age limit is 37 years)
Ex- Servicemen - 3 years (i.e, Maximum Age limit is 35 years)
Physically Handicapped (General) - 10 years
Physically Handicapped (OBC) - 13 years
Physically Handicapped (SC/ST) - 15 years
Candidates Domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir - 5 Years
Widows, Divorcee (Who have remarried) -

General - 35 years (Max Age);

OBC - 38 years (Max Age)

SC/ST - 40 years (Max Age)

Essential Educational Qualification

Graduation from University or Any Institute recognized by the Parliament or State Legislature. For the posts of Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist (JAA), Senior Clerk cum Typist (SCT) and Time Keeper (TK), Candidate must have proficiency in Hindi and English Typing.

In order to grasp Railway jobs Under RRB NTPC Examination, Candidate have to apply for RRB NTPC Examination through online mode only through the concerned RRB website which is granted below, after declaration of RRB NTPC Official recruitment notification.

Application Fees/ Intimation Charges Payable for RRB NTPC Examination are -

No application fee for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Physically Handicapped, Women, Minorities, Economically Backward classes (with annual income less than Rs. 50,000) and Transgender candidates.
For other Candidates, Rs. 100/- payable through Online using Internet banking or Debit Cards or through Challan in any branch of SBI/ Computerized Post Office Pay-In-Slip.

RRB NTPC 2019 Selection procedure:

Different Stages in RRB NTPC recruitment is as follows:

First Stage RRB NTPC Online Examination - RRB NTPC Stage 1 Exam- Preliminary Test – Computer Based Test (CBT)
Second Stage Examination - RRB NTPC Stage 2 Exam - Mains Test – Computer Based Test (CBT)
Typing Test (Skill Test) only for the posts of Jr. Accounts Assistant-cum-Typist and Sr. Clerk-cum-Typist.
Aptitude Test only for the posts of Assistant Station Master (ASM), Traffic Assistant.

RRB NTPC 2019 Stage 1 Exam Pattern:

RRB NTPC Stage 1 Exam - Prelims exam is conducted in online mode only. RRB NTPC Stage 1 exam comprises of 100 multiple choice questions under 4 main subject categories namely Arithmetic Ability, Reasoning Ability & General Intelligence, General Awareness and General Science. Total marks allotted for RRB NTPC Stage 1 exam is 100 marks and Total Duration of RRB NTPC Stage 1 exam is 90 mins.

Negative Marking:- There will be negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by you, there will be no negative marking for that question.

In order to get promote to next stage of RRB NTPC recruitment, Candidates have to qualify the RRB NTPC Stage 1 exam mentioned above, by securing cut-off marks as decided by RRB. Those who qualify the RRB NTPC Stage 1 Exam will be called for next stage i.e., RRB NTPC Stage 2 - Mains Examination.
